Dear all, I am looking for a new vfd of a 1PH 240v supply line; there seems to be main differences in VFD's like constant tork or variable tork etc. 1) What VFD do I need for a 0.75KW 1HP motor 24000RPM from ELTEsrl. 2) is it better to use a vfd of say 1 or 2KW for the 0.75KW motor? Can someone give me advice please. Thank you, Willy Last edited by satchid; 11-09-2009 at 04:41 PM. |

| Some reading for you, might help you understand things a bit: http://www.kilowattclassroom.com/Archive/VFDarticle.pdf What is Vector control: http://www.reliance.com/pdf/drives/d...ets/D7171A.pdf http://www.reliance.com/pdf/drives/w...pers/D7161.pdf http://www.tmeic-ge.com/upload/libra...1143586002.pdf I am no expert, I just went through this trying to get electronics together for a wood lathe I am building. I started with a cheap Teco unit which was shipped DOA to me and have since moved to a real industrial Fuji unit. I have a 2hp motor which is running on a 3hp model which was suggested by a local supplier. The FRN003G11S-2UX 3hp unit was de-rated to work on ~1 "Manual states ~3 hookup only" where you connect just tour 2 leads that make up your 220. The price was double but it controls torque and speed better, no noticeable lag also this unit is twice the size and most of that is the cooling heat sink and fan. I guess what I am getting to is be prepared to get what you pay for, and don't hesitate to go to the suppliers and tell them what your application is and find out what they suggest. Good Luck the Fuji is top quality. |
