interesting article. I had installed a VFD on my apple packing line. The squeal was untolerable. It was an old unit with no carrier frequency adjustment. I'm going to shop eBay for a newer one.

Best prices I have found is Factorymation.com they have also shown great support when needed with a motor that was damaged in shipping.
