Folks I have a damaged colombo spindle - in a fire. I need help to identify something that has melt within the T box of the spindle. pictures at this thread : http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88692 I did not want to post a new thread here - but knew there are knowledgeable people out here. | I am not sure what that would be if the spindle is a 3 phase motor, a capacitor is not normally required, can you post the details off the name plate? Also, what can you discern from the melted component? Al.

| al, that looked like a cap - but I am not sure - it was mostly melt plastic - i think its a RV9 model (2.2kw)or something, I have given the spindle for top end bearing replacement. I will get a picture of the name plate once it is back. " Just found out that it might be the thermistor, which got fried - but there were no wires heading to the VFD and the thermistor wires were just getting into the motor and not out from it" hmmmm RGDS Irfan |
