hi can any 1 tell me a good site to explane to me how to hook up a motor 2 a computer? i have done some research on VFD but bugger me i cant make heads or tails of it ![]() what i would like to know is is there anyone who sells a vrd+motor (about 1h 220-240 volt 50h) so that all i need to do is get the ISS-02 Spindle Speed Expansion Module from candcnc and hook it up to the computer thanks heeps Ian http://www.candcnc.com/ Last edited by wilkomedic; 02-09-2009 at 09:57 AM. | It depends on the type of commands your VFD will accept, usually as a minimum, it is analogue 0-10v or bi-directional ±10vdc. Unfortunately if you do not have a controller that outputs this type of signal you have to convert it, say from Mach type output, which is PWM to analogue. There are converters for doing this. Almost all VFD manufacturers will supply a 1HP 240 single phase in, three phase out VFD. I am not sure of the makes available in your part of the world. Al.
