    Phase converter for Bridgeport V2XT

    Hi there I got a 1994 Bridgeport V2XT with a 2 hp motor with a XT control.
Anyways I want to know is what size to get and the best quietest brand for the price? Also the spindle motor says it works with either 220 or 440 volts but the plate in the control box says 460 volts 10 amps. Any comments will be helpful thanks.

    Hi DF,

I would recommend nothing smaller than a 10HP RPC if your going to need 460V with 10amps per line. You will also have to invest in at least a 15KVA -3 phase 220v/460v step-up transformer. Your Idler will be a 10HP motor with 220v 3 phase capabillities. You can check on www.americanrotary.com for further assistance....they have got a very good reputation and are highly recommended.

Hope I have been of some help.

    Kind Regards.
