Looking for a VFD based on my motor and have a couple questions.. The Motor is a GE TriClad with the following on the plate: Base Rpm 1745, 2 HP, 240 Volt 3 phase 90 Herz 4.6 amp, 1.7 hp, 2620 rpm, 240v 26 Herz 7.7 amp, 2 hp, 745 rpm, 200v Type KAF Induction Motor So I guess I can assume this is a VFD rated motor, is the 90 hz the recommended max hz? Can I run at 120hz intermittently (This would give me about 3500 rpm if my math is correct) Will most any 2hp VFD work with this motor? Any suggestions? |

| you should use a drive that can be set up in v/h mode so you can set up a custom curve to match the name plate ratings. fortunatly you can ussually find that these are the least expensive of the ac drives. check automation direct should be able to find new for about 200.00 Pete |
