There are two types of VFDs, single phase input, three phase output and three phase input, three phase output. VFDs that are single phase input can output their name plant HP when connected properly. When a three phase input VFD is connected to single phase input, the HP rating is reduced 33%+.
Never run the input and output wiring in the same conduit. If you do you can get noise on your line side power which could cause problems with other electronics connected to your service.
