How many amps are on the machine spec plate, you should have enough I think your PhasePerfect is good for 94Amps
& you most likely only need about 64 amps at 240v
I hope it is ! But I may be cutting it close afte some more research.
I have recently aquired a Qt20 with a T-2 control. It has a 20hp spindle motor . I also have aquired a phase perfect DPC-30 (30HP.) phase convertor and was wandering if this is going to be sufficient for the machine ? The phase convertor can produce like 90 amps @ 230 volts 3 phase.
Thanks in advance.

Its a late 80's machine and there is no tag on it. The newer mazaks we have at work have electrical
Tags. The one i run is a SQT 30m. It is 30hp with milling capabilities. It says 126 amps @208.
Phase Perfect recommends the PP unit rating matching the spindle motor rating is sufficient. I run a 10 HP Cincinnati Arrow off a 10 HP Phase Perfect. The PP 30 will be plenty for your 20 HP spindle machine and most likely a 20 HP PP would be enough. Phase Perfects are awesome.

Joe,
That is good news !!!
Thanks
Chris
I've never heard from a PP user who is dissatisfied on any of the forums.
Mine is still chugging along.
