WJ200 Ver.2 programming issue

Hello to all enthusiasts!

Recently I decide to up great my 1.5kW Lagun motor with an VFD SVC (Sensorless Vector Control) and for that reason did research and decide to try Hitachi WJ200 Ver.2 (in production since Oct'2010). Mainly decision was made is USB controllable.

First my experiments after hook-up was pretty much successful, I change parameters and they stay after powerOFF, but since I did Auto-Tuning it become impossible to make parameters to stay, however previous parameters which I program before then, pretty much unchangeable.
I did contact Hitachi and found very supportive and professional help, nothing to say. After week of attempt, they basically advise to make factory default and use drive as is without programming...
I do not think this drive was design to be "Non Field Programmable" and I start to search on forum and Inet what is available on similar topic. So far I have no luck to find any related to WJ200 Ver.2 topics, and I decide to post this request to group.

What could be wrong? There is any specific "special" command in WJ200 or SJ200 which I missed or it is common problem and we need just to take time when Ver.3 will be available?

Thanks to all.

do you mean you change a parameter, store it, power down and back up and it is old value again? which parameters in particular? give exact numbers of some that do this....

do you mean you change a parameter you already changed before doing the autotune and now it will not change anymore? which parameters in particular? give exact numbers of some that do this....

Thank you for the response.

Before programming I have:

C028 [AM] terminal selection(Analog voltage 07 (LAD frequency)
C106 AM gain adjustment 100 %

I programm them to:

C028 [AM] terminal selection(Analog voltage 01 (Output Current)
C106 AM gain adjustment 50 %

Until I have do not trip power both parameters was as I set.
As soon as PowerOff - 20sec - PowerOn both parameters come back to original defalult.

I did Factory reset with b180 - 04 an did above again- same result - data is not store...
Same happen with a few more parameters in b, c and a group. I have suspicion same happen to h group to auto-tuned parameters, but I do not check yet...

Thanks.

Trust me, I did press the SET, and all data was there before power Off. And more, drive execute what I program in to ... Works.
As soon as porOFF - all gone - lost memory, Alzheimer disaster... After powerON is all virgin.

Do you using ProDriveNext software?
I do, I have setup with USB connection.

So far I think it is problem with non-volatile memory operation... Before it was working fine and I manage to config the most what I need. But since I did Factory reset, it behavior changed.
So far I found out in the manual for ProDriveNext about way to save in non-volatile memory but I do not try yet.

It is great drive... Great when it is working.
What kind of troubles do you have in yours? What kind of setup?

Will let you know when will fix the problem.

Happy Milling!

Maxmill.... here are two factory replies:

Mike,

Ask the customer to restore factory defaults on page 6-14 in the instruction manual. If the customer has a standard AC induction motor, no auto-tuning is recommended in the WJ200, and the drive could react the way your customer described. Please pass the information to the customer and let me know if further assistance is needed. Thank you

(I sent back you did a reset and he replied following)

Mike,
Restoring factory defaults should clear it, and should not be locked the way descried. Let me look into it and will get back to you. Thank you
Best Regards,
Sam

Maybe you should try factory reset once more? Or just wait until another answer. sorry for delay!
