Siemens G110

I have just bought a Siemens G110 with operator panel, unfortunately the panel is incorrect and I am waiting for the replacement.

I want to use this vfd with my 2.2kw chinese spindle, and to control it using mach 3.

In my green capacity I would appreciate a little guidance, what do I need to do to allow me to control the spindle speed from within mach3.

do I need to purchase a spindle board or a siemens pc communication kit.

Appreciate any help, this is a replacement for a chinese vfd that died.

I've now got the correct op panel, and set all the basic parameters.

Now the embarassing question - how do I actually change the speed using the op panel, its set to min 100Hz and max 400Hz, but when I start the spindle it only runs at 100 and doesn't appear to be changeable.

Would appreciate a heads up on this one, or it's going to limit my cutting ability LOL

Ok, well I solved the problem, so i'll pop it here for future searchers.

P1000 default is 2
frequency setpoint = analog setting

I changed it be be driven by the op panel
P1000 = 1

Now I can use the up/down to change spindle speed.
