Default No Spindle RPM Indication on Mach3.

    Hi,
I have always manually controlled my Huangyang VFD & 2.2 KW Spindle.
Somehow I decided to wire the VFD and get Mach3 to control the RPM.

I can turn the spindle on and off. Control the speed up and down.
BUT there is no indication on RPM. (I would like to know what RPM the spindle is running when I am using the router).

This image is from YouTube somebody posted.

I have watch several videos on YouTube. Most of the videos I have watched have the same issue I got. (No RPM Indication on the Spindle top window).
Any idea how I can fix this.
One of the video a guy was showing was, he used an Hall Effect Chip to make the RPM Indicate.
Is this the way to go?
I bought several Hall Effect Switch Chip and a couple of Hall Effect Proximity Probes and will experiment with it.
I also bought a Digital Laser Probe with a reflective tape, just for me to use temporarily while I am fixing the RPM issue.

I am using a 5 Axis Breakout Board I bought on Ebay.

    Any idea guys?

Why not use the pulse output of the VFD (PD054=4)?

Do you have any documentation on that? The two manuals I have say PD054 can be set to 0-7, but only tell you what 0-3 are. No mention of 4-7.

I have used it on other VFD's but in the version I have if you set PD054 to 1 This is an analogue signal that a 0-10v voltmeter that full scale represents maximum rpm when connected to it, The PD055 appears to be the ratio you can tailor the output to for FSD.
It is on page 41/42 of my manual.
