    i find i have the same problem..i have disconnected every cable apart from the 240v input and it still comes up with e30.1 does this mean the vfd is toast or maybe the rfi filter thats inline just before it

    any help appreciated

    What is the VFD you have, I guess it is the same as in this post, then check how you have it wired, in the UK you would have, ( 1 Hot ) Neutral and Ground / Earth connected, this is different from the USA, which is what the first post is about

    its a hitachi wj200 it has been working fine with a 24000 rpm chinese 2.2kw spindle . then the error came up . as said i plug everything apart from power in and it still has the error code

    You will have to clear the fault, follow the manual on how to do this,\

    To get this fault, you may not have set the correct Parameters in the VFD that suit your spindle, this is the normal cause of problems like this, wiring also can cause this problem

    Have you checked the spindle Ground / Earth connection, Pin #4 has to be connected to the spindle most are not and need to be corrected

    thanks for the help but i have read the manual and i cannot find how to clear the alarm error code if any knows how that will be a great help

    You will have to fix your wiring, even if you are able to reset the VFD, post some photos of your wiring, do you have shielded cable for the spindle, and is the shield correctly terminated

    Only some of the manuals have this information
