sizing phase converter for injection molding machine
I just bought a Boy 15S injection molding machine and I need to get a rotary phase converter for it. Looks like the sizing calculators need to know if the motors are easy, medium, hard, or very hard starting. How to Size a Rotary Phase Converter - North America Phase Converters & Electrical Supply
I don't know on this machine if the motor starts when there is no hydraulic pressure and just keeps running as long as the machine is running which might make it classified as an easy or medium starting motor or if it kicks on and off as pressure goes up and down which might make it a hard or very hard starting motor. Can anyone give me some advice on how to properly classify this motor?

Double what the max machine rating specification, if you have a newer machine, with computer control, you want to get the CNC rated converter, a regular converter is ok for the older machines that don't have the computer control
