    Default Hatachi WJ200 and mach3

    Hey Guys
I need some help with my VFD setup, at present I have the vfd controlled in mach3 but just power on and power off no speed control either program or MDI. I have had no luck getting the USB enabled for programing. Does anybody have any quick parameters to use or a cheat sheet to get speed control set in mach3 and the inverter.
    Thank you

I believe there is installation instructions on loading the s/w on the Hitachi site for hooking up to a PC have you checked those?
Also how did you intend on Mach interfacing? by Modbus or do you have a BOB with a PWM to analogue convertor, I haven't used the Hitachi personally, but there seems to be alot of users.

If you have to enter the parameters through the front panel, the Hitachi manual has one of the most detailed step by step manuals out of most VFD manuf for initial setup purposes.
You need to read Mach manual for setting the spindle to PWM output and select the port pin, you then have to wire the BOB output to the common and analogue VFD input, the calibration is done through the spindle gear ratio in Mach.
The VFD has to be set for external 0 to +10v input and the BOB instructions should have the detail on hooking up the PWM and VFD.

the bob is a sound logic "encoder board" from romax CNC - I asked for support they told me to buy something better from cnc4pc - the vfd is hooked up and works through a relay on the bob just no speed control I can use the front panel dial but not practical since it is in the control cabinet - and the pin out set under ports and pins - It would be easier if I could access the usb port but after trying the manual both reading and searching the pdf the commands for getting the usb to enable did not work and I was hitting set after each command

parameters A001-10 set analog input settings so u can send speed command from BOB.

u do not need the software; just the manual. u have the manual? What u r asking is explained in real good english in first few pages. get copy here if for some reason u dont have it:

Inverter Technical Support Library - AC Variable Drives & Inverters | Industrial Systems : Hitachi America, Ltd.

    or more specifically:

    http://www.hitachi-america.us/suppor...ion_NT325X.pdf

    and

    http://www.hitachi-america.us/suppor...rt/NT3251X.pdf

I'm pretty sure all these manuals on the cd shipped with the drive too.

I'd suggest u get help from the distributor who sold u the drive too; they shud be willing to give u specific info too.

    this help?

    VFD is setup for pwm

can still start spindle on/off toggle and m4

    but no speed control

I use 2 bobs tied together via smooth stepper

Main breakout board port 1- cncdrive HDBB
    drives/motors/estop/

Second bob - port 2 romax cnc encoder board
on/off relays for spindle and pwm

    no luck
