Adapter Search - TH part to SMT board

    Hi,

As it turns out, certain LEDs are only available as through hole parts, eithe 3mm or 5mm dia. I have a project that needs some, but the rest of the board is SMT with Al core board, so though hole is "complicated".

I have found adapters for taking SMT components and turning them into TH type, but I need the reverse - TH part into an SMT adapter.

The currents are small 20 - 60ma, and the wire spacing on 3mm leds is 2.54mm.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

    HarryN

Hi - Thanks for the reply. I did manage to figure out a way using a standard smt dip socket. I just need to orient the part differently than I had planned.

I appreciate everyone who looked / considered the question.

    Thanks

    HarryN
