3mm square 16 pin QFN

i attached a few pictures if a pcb for allegro 6281 16 pin QFN package, and of my mill that i use. i never thought i would get this to work.

i converted my sherline mill to 3/8 ball screws and antibacklash nuts. used
a A2ZCNC mill saddle for the base of the conversion. installed keling servo motors with 2500 cpr encoders to get the resolution i wanted on X and Y axis of the machine.
used a precisebits 45 degree cutter with a .0025 depth of cut for the etching.

Arquibaldo is an unknown quantity at this point
a few questions

Dear Powerr:

Beautiful work - congrats. Unfortunatelly, the 3rd photo is out-of-focus. Do you have
another, showing the assembled PCB?

How did you solder the tiny IC? by hand? did you use a stencil?

Do you have a thread about the CNC conversion of your sherline mill? I would be very
interested in seeing it...

Nelson

Yes that does look very nice. I to am interested in the build information used on the sherline in particular the servo setup.
Are you using Eagle with pcb-gcode and Mach3?
