WG SPindle Bundle! Where can i get one?

    hi guys,

My dremel has tested my patience to its limits. I simply cannot get proper & consistent trace width control with the demel. Been using it for awhile now but i think its time to upgrade.

Whilst I'm looking to buy a WG spindle set off ebay, It seems that there's been no reply from the ebay seller.. I'm not sure if i shld just buy it off without getting a email reply. He's a reputed seller i've no doubt, just wanna be sure just in case.

anyone knows if there's an alternative solution to a Spindle bundle, i'm not looking for routers or die grinders, too loud, & not really that useful for me. I'm only looking at pcb milling..

    Thanks!
    Dis.

I've purchased two from him. I liked mine so much I got a backup in case he stopped selling them.

I've had an email go unanswered then wrote again to have him repond. I think they sometimes get lost in his spam filter.

I've gone down the road you have. For the money I think the Wolfgang is it. But you can also make your own from a RC motor. See the other threads here.

After that you get up into very expensive spindles which all seem to require 220 volt.

Personnally, for milling circuit boards, I recommend the Wolfgang.

    Here's mine.

I now use a Bosch Colt for PCB engraving and woodworking on my router. I did buy the Precisebits collets. I routinely cut SMD circuits for 0805 parts. If I were doing TQFP's then I would install my Wolfgang. What size circuits are you targeting?

    Hi jay,

I've been pushing the limits on my setup. Looking at trace widths between 10-12 mils. 0603 smts. So far, at it's best, I was able to get away with 16mil traces & sot23 footprints. But it hasn't been consistent & lately, it just been really bad with runouts...

thanks for the info Chuck. Nice setup u have there! I think I'll get a spindle bundle from WG as well. Been reading reviews abt it and it does look to be fantastic for PCb milling.

I was just thinking about the taig mount kit that WG provides may not fit my setup. I'll go ahead and grab one anyway!

I large step up from the Dremel is the Proxxon IB/E. I got mine for $110. Good luck with the WE spindle, I understand he has modified how he builds them and there have been a mixed bag of complaints and praises for them. Not trying to scare you off, just keep you informed.

I had a WG. If I needed this type of spindle again I am going to try this:
