hi boys,
I have old fanuc OT control. Where the rigid taping are not possible.
is that possibly this problem to solve with macro.
I have an idea but how I am not possible this forms in macro that
for example; I want 20mm deeply tap where going for a ride languages runs gradually to zero to depth, afterwards with M04 the other way around.
helps someone me? in advance thank .....

The short answer is no because rigid tapping requires a spindle motor that has its encoder integrated with the axis controllers. in other words the spindle will rotate 1 revolution EXACTLY as the Z axis moves one pitch of the programmed thread. You coud try rigid tapping with a non-integrated spindle and you might be successful but I think you will break a few taps along the way.
However, if your control has in terms of "number of revolutions turned" then you might be able to do this thing in a macro if you can conrol very accurately the start and stop of the spindle and of the Z axis. You also will not be able to test it in single block as to be effective rigid tapping of one hole must be executed in one block by the control.
thank for your response, indeed I am possible in a rule no going for a ride languages and dipped on z ash to regulate. I think that the problem is.
