    Question Fanuc 16M + Trig ?

Anyone know if the 16M control can do trig?
    If so, have any examples?

I have 60 different parts that have angles that need stepped on them. Each slightly different angles in slightly different locations.

I've done this on a Bridgeport DX-32 control but that machine is busy.

    Thanks

It can if it has the macro option installed.

Go to MDI, type in #101 = 1, hit cycle start.

If no error message, you have macro option installed.

If you don't have a controller that can use trig. you can probably come up with a fairly simple calculation on your own to do the same calculations. After all, the tangent of 45 degrees equals the sine divided by cosine, etc..

I assume the 16M is pretty much the same as a 16TC so, yeah, it can provided you have macro B. It will do Sine, Cosine, Tangent, and Arctangent.
