I MAY be asking A CRAZY thing

    Hi,

Is there any way to write a MACRO PROGRAM such that machine automatically switches from JOG mode to AUTO mode or AUTO Mode to HANDLE Mode?

    Thanks

I would think not, as this could be quite dangerous!
    Why do you ask?
    There may be other alternatives.
Control the process, not the product!

That depends on what you want to do.
With the limited information that you've provided, it's hard for anyone to help.
With the information at hand, it would appear that you have an issue and that you've determined that the only way to sove the issue is to programatically switch from JOG to AUTO.
This most likely is not possible.
If, however, you cared to supply information about the issue(not the solution), others here may be able to help that.
    With that, I'll ask again...

What is it that you want to accomplish by switching from JOG to AUTO?
    HTH and good luck.

Nothing is impossible. This would take editing of the ladder and possibly some hardware involved. This however is not along the lines of a macro but more of creating a custom code thru the modifications above and then could be inserted into a macro or program.

Ash.....I to am curious as to why you would want to have this type of function.

With Mach3, if you use an optional stop (M1) or stop (M0) the program stops.
I use this to do a tool change, move table to clear some swarf, etc.
If the following line in the program moves safely to a resume position, then all you do is hit cycle start to continue.

My programs have lots of M1 after Z up moves, and the optional stop is linked to the F4 key. Then I just hit cycle start (or external button I have linked to cycle start), and resume.

I have some grinding cycles that do a grinding sequence then pause.
If I need to do another pass, Z increments a required amount and I do another pass just by hitting cycle start. This is a wife friendly program!!

You can always program a tool change, then continue with the same tool, provided the config is set to pause on every tool change, even if it is the same tool.

    Hi,
I know that everyone is curious to know the reason behind asking this question.

Well guys, i specifically clarified in the title (of this thread) "I MAY BE ASKING A CRAZY THING". It is explained by the fact that there is no as such reason to ask this question. I simply had a strange thought flowing in my mind & just asked to myself....IS IT POSSIBLE TO SWITCH BETWEEN MODES AUTOMATICALLY?

Thanks for your replies and attention.
