Hello Anyone have macro for milling NPT threads on a fanuc marco b? The machine is a mori seiki nt4300 whitout the option to mill spirals(damn fanuc for taking money for every thing) Or a program that mills a spiral that i can rewrite to move i z too? |

| I have a macro b program that can perform this kind of motion using small linear increments. It is a very open ended cycle and tapered thread milling is not its only application, so as it is you would have to know and input your start and finish diameter, start and finish Z and number of revolutions (of course, it could be modified later to work out the above using the angle of taper if you wish). If you think your control is fast enough to process it (there is about ten simple calcs per movement) let us know the particulars of your thread and cutter and I will post it with an explanation. Note that the way it is written means that you will need to have 100 common macro variables available. DP |
