I didn't get in on kit orders, so I'm building one from scratch!
Just received my Hadron mechanical parts kit and started assembly.
Anyone else assembling this kit?

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I am suppose to get my kit with electronics included this coming Tuesday. Lets do our builds together on here with lots of photos!

As of today, mine is in the Illinois USPS sorting facility so it has a long way to go before I see it.

Here are a couple of links to that might help some people out with the build.

I think it really would be useful if we documented our builds together. This batch of kits is going to have the same issues, missing parts etc, together we will have a much better time figuring this all out. I have been doing a lot of research on this, it not going to be a particularly easy project. Together we can be sucessfull! though!
I have the mechanical part done with the electronics mounted.
Haven't decided how to mount the display and am still waiting for the extruder.

If there's no BOM or shipping list in the package you receive, here's one from Automation Technologies.

Yes that one the QU-BD extruder.
I think they have shipped some just not mine yet.

FYI,
These kits ship w/o any extra parts. Mine was complete except for one extrusion nut.
Kevin
It looks like mine is being sent in two shipments, not sure if this is due to size or availability of parts (extruder?)
One parcel has arrived in Australia, one has just left the supplier

It looks like I have possibly three tracking numbers from Automation Tech Inc. So far the Hardon ORD bot has arrived Tuesday as expected. I have received two or three other tracking numbers from Automation Tech over the last 3 or 4 days as well. Not sure what to expect next? Power supply? Drivers? Extruder? hot Plate...who knows?
Unpacking the ORD bot was slightly daunting at first, I printed out the 4 or 5 top level drawings, that helped a lot. Just take your time and go slow, make a cup of coffee or whisky what ever works for you. It probably took me 4 hours from start to finish to get the hardware assembled. Very well thought out design. I am quite impressed so far. In the second photo you can see the tools I used for assembly. Metric hardware.

Picked up my Hadron from the post office today. Posted Sep 26 so just over a week to Australia, not too bad at all.
All parts seem to be present as checked off against the included parts list.
The V wheels are all pre-assembled and seem a bit tight.
I'll print out the diagrams and re-read the buildlog.net wiki and then get a start building it.
The electronics should be here early next week.

I've finished the mecahnical side of the build, still waiting for electronics.
After reading the buildlog.net pages several times and having a CAD program showing the various assemblies, there was no major issues putting it together.
No missing parts, the only problem I did find was that one of the shorter Makerslides was about 10mm smaller than it should be. It still goes together but the slot nuts are right at the end of the extrusion on the X axis. I don't think it will affect print area.

Looks good.

I now have the electronics or most of them.
No end stop switches and only 4 stepper drivers. I ordered a dual extruder so expected to get 5 stepper drivers.
Again, no packing list so I don't really know what I should have received.
EDIT: Got an answer from Automation Technologies saying that no end stop switches are included in the kit nor is a 5th stepper driver provided with a dual extruder.
Not a major problem or expense to fix but it would have been nice to have a list of what was included so I could have arranged to get the extra parts required.
I have a spare Gecko G250 or two so I might try to use those for the extruders. Microswitches I should be able to get locally.
Later: Ordered the end stop switches from eBay and decided to get some Pololu drivers ($40 for 4), got the LCD as well.
