2D drawing software

Hi

I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place but I have a question:
Have any of you ever encounterd a 2D drawingsoftware similar to paintbrush in simlicity but object or vector based?

I have downloaded quite a few freeware 2D drawing programs but the all seem to be so complex!
Ive tried many of the different programs on this page:

you might try qcad. It's pretty easy to use and puts out a decent dxf file that can be imported into other applications.

If you're using linux it's pretty easy to install.

There WAS a parametric cad/sketch pad program called "DesignView". It was offered in the early/mid 90's by ComputerVision that eventually got bought out by somebody who got gobbled up by ProE.

It was super easy to use as it automatically updated and did all sorts of unique, for the time, calculations and other engineering based calcs (MOI, Center of Gravity, areas, etc.)

I still use it today for most of my simpler drawings. It runs on Win3x, Win9X and SOME of the latest frauds from Win. Send PM and I can send you a Zip file for the 9x systems for loading it. You're on your own to learn it but it is NOT that hard to learn as it has instructions provided with the load.
