help with sketchup needed

i need some assistance with sketchup. since it's free i thought i'd post here. is there anyone who could help me with a model? i've been trying to do it for some time, but haven't been able to. i would like to model a small lathe chuck, so i can produce it on my little machine. i already mastered sketchup to a point where i can use it easily, but some bumps still slow me down a bit. pic with the part of the model is below.
any help is more than appreciated!

dimensions are not that important, but i planned the diameter of the chuck itself to be around 80-100mm.

thought i answer my question: link to the part of the solution below. a simple SU plugin i needed for this, but it's not hard to find. hope this helps
