| The posted 4030 4013 circuit sets the phase pattern, not me. ***UPDATE !! I bypassed some pulldown resistors I used for the STEP DIR inputs on the 7474 7486 circuit and it FIXED IT ! I used the 74HC~ series which requires higher voltage than the 74HCT~ series which is designed for TTL inputs. So, I think the pulldown resistors were lowering the voltage too much and not allowing the ICs to operate properly. The DIR input seems to not cause problems if I let it float while testing, but that shouldn't even be an issue when it is connected to TTL. I still need to see what is wrong with the 4030 4013 combo  Last edited by mannster; 06-12-2005 at 08:23 PM.  |
