| Hello, I have started to huild my cnc machine (see my thread http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showth...93749#poststop). I am thinking about building the 3 axis PIC board from pminmo.com (Alexander's). Is this controller any good? My motors are unipolar 2.9 volt 1.2 amps. I would like to use a pc power supply to power the 3 motors and the logic to the controller. Will this work? Also, I read that you need some form of current limiter for your motors otherwise it will fry the mosfets. Is this true? If so, what kind of current limiter should I use (cheap as possible)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
