linistepper and 0.9 degree stepper motors

Hi to everybody from faraway Portugal. Yep the little rectangle between Spain and the Atlantic.

Maybe someone can help me. I am building 3 linisteppers to control a small cnc machine.
Can I use 0.9 degree unipolar stepper motors. Any changes to the code?

Stepper motor controllers don't care how many degrees the stepper motor turns through when it moves to the next step. When the controller sees a pulse on the step line, just energizes the next set of coils. It diesn't know how far apart those coils are.

If you are setting up a CNC system, then the software needs to know how far each pulse on the step line will turn the motor. There are setup screens where you enter that information.
