| Hi to everybody from faraway Portugal. Yep the little rectangle between Spain and the Atlantic. ![]() ![]() Maybe someone can help me. I am building 3 linisteppers to control a small cnc machine. Can I use 0.9 degree unipolar stepper motors. Any changes to the code? Thank you |

| Stepper motor controllers don't care how many degrees the stepper motor turns through when it moves to the next step. When the controller sees a pulse on the step line, just energizes the next set of coils. It diesn't know how far apart those coils are. If you are setting up a CNC system, then the software needs to know how far each pulse on the step line will turn the motor. There are setup screens where you enter that information. |
