I have seen the DIY brushless DC Motor build and rewind threads on the web sweat it out counting winds of coils by hand, and hurting their fingers winding the coils manually. Searching on the web, I have found several commercial motor coil winders based on CNC (although what axes they control are not too clear, as the business end of the machinery is not shown in sufficient detail!) Has anybody designed and/or built a mechanical or CNC slot motor winding machine (slotless ironless motors too, particularly the sinusoidally wound variety, if there are any out there!) and are plans available? Thanks Shiraz. |

| I made a stepper motor controlled winder for transformer coils etc. You can check out the project at http://www.circuitcellar.com/renesas/winners/3339.htm Would'nt work for sinusoid coils though |
