    choosin the right stuff

I need some advice regarding electronics for my router. I'll be using

    http://www.kelinginc.net/KL23H276_30_6A.pdf or http://www.kelinginc.net/KL23H276_30_4A.pdf

The machine will have a dedicated PC and should be able to run 4 axis.
Since this is my first NC any help is appreciated.

    thx

Hrmm. You have to ask questions to get decent advice?

Buy geckos, xylotex, or hobbycnc drives and follow the wiring instructions. Score a transformer from Surplus Center or eBay and build a power supply for 36V or so (this is influenced by the drive selection).

You can buy parallel port breakout boards cheaply, I've never found them to be all that essential, but they're nice to have.

Good luck. The electronics for these projects are simple than the mechanics in many ways, it really is plug and play nowadays for the most part.

I run the kelinginc KL23H276_30_6A with a HobbyCNC driver and a homebuilt 32VDC powersupply and TurboCNC. Easy to build, easy to wire, works great.
