i just got 6 3977slp-t chips and am wondering if this tinny little chip will work with a 2.8 amp stepping motor. all 6 chips will fit on a postage stamp. i know the 3977 is rated at 2.5amp/35volt but the size of the chips makes me wonder.

| Yes with it limited to 2.5A and you have to use the heat pad on the bottom soldered to a ground plane and if it isn't large enough a heat sink arrangement.

| thanks pminmo, those chips are so small i wasn't sure if it could handle the same ratings as the sed. thanks techno, i missed that thead.
