help about pminmo's control cards

hi i am a mechanical eng. student at turkey. i wanna build up a cnc. i am trying to make electronic controls first of all. i try to made your card but i couldnt use it?can you help me?

i test my control board like documentation says it works? 2 leds are giving lights?
i connect interface card and this control card with cables as well (like in picture)http://pminmo.com/discrete/t_dasystem.jpg

i give voltage from my pc cpu s 12v cables. it works on control unit i said this before. but when i try to hook up interface card and control card together into power cable is getting too hot that i cant able to touch it. and when i hook the step motor to control card and give ground that is shown at documentation it gives a smoke and then i take it off fastly.
so with my poor english i try to tell my problem.

can you help me please.
this is my term project. it is so urgent please help me. i am not well known about electronics.

Are you saying that the discrete motor driver board works with a motor without it being hooked up to the interface board?

I suspect you have a problem with how you did you common/negative/ wiring.

without being connected to the PC, if you hook the interface board,discrete driver board, power supply and motor, are they ok?

no i am saying that i tested the discrete drivre alone it works (leds gives light)
but when i try to hook discrete and interface board the negative wire is being so hot. and when i try to hook stepper motor to discrete board it gives smoke?

i see something that stepper motors + cables has resistor while going to - cable? i didnt use any resistors? which one should i use?my stpper İs are 6V and 1.2A and 1.8deg (STH-55D304-03 SHINANO KENSHI) [I AM USING MY PCs 300W AOPEN CPUs 12V RED&BLACK CABLES]

or http://www.pminmo.com/discrete/osunidata.pdf depending on version you built. The first one has checkout procedures.
You will need a resistors. Are they six wire or 5 wire?

i got resistors and hook them without interface board and hardwire to paralel board. led are ok. but how can i turn the stepper motor?
