Linistepper and DIY or Chinese BOB

Hello, I am newbie here. I want to build 3 Linistepper drivers, but what BOB I should build or buy for these drivers? Thanks.

That kinda depends on what you want to build. I have used many different types of BOB's. From the extremely simple straight pass through to driver dedicated.
I am not familiar with the drives. The ultimate drives for me are Gecko's. Simply outstanding drives.

I agree with LeeWay, we need to know more about what you want to do, and Gecko Drive makes the finest drives... however, if you use the calculator at
techref.massmind.org/techref/io/steppers.htm#Estimating and find that you need anything up to about 100 watts of drive power (3 amps, 35 volts) then the Linisteppers will do just fine and will save you quite a bit of money over a Gecko.

The Linistepper has a nice 4 axis BOB, with very low cost cabling options:
Break Out Board, Logic Power Regulator, Relay Driver, Indicators, Switches, Microchip PIC, LCD Panel, Current and Temp sensors.
The complete 4 axis, with a 5 volt supply regulator, ALL the cables for 4 axis drivers and parallel cable to the PC is less than $25.

The 4 axis FULL KIT is less than $150 (compare to a Gecko 540; not as much power, but enough for a small mill).

A 3 axis FULL KIT (like a Gecko 540 but with just 3 axis instead of 4) is $114.

Thanks for replies. I have 3x Linistepper v2 by posix and 3x russian stepper ДШИ200-3 Darasheet. I need breakout board and I think the best way is to build it myself using opto-isolator. Anyone have any good schematic?

Just a quick note to avoid confusion: The Linistepper design is from Roman Black, and posix did a simplified board layout of that design. Roman also produces a more professional PCB and kit of parts, both of which I sell for him.

There are several break out boards listed at pminmo.com which are quite good. I personally feel opto-isolation is over rated and causes more trouble than worth. I just use an old PC (better parallel ports anyway) and run turboCNC then do my designing on my nice laptop and sneakernet the files. If something frys, old PC's are a dime a dozen.
