Hello there fellow tinkerers I have come across 3 different step modes. Since I am using a microcontroller to produce step patterns I guess I have it easy when I want to implement a different type of pattern. Full stepping like 0001 0010 0100 1000 I understand. Lots of resonance, vibrations, no good. Half stepping like 0001 0011 0010 0110 0100 1100 1000 1001 I understand too. Good for low speed due to less resonance and vibrations etc. But what about high-torque like 0011 0110 1100 1001? That gives me beter torque but what about resonance and vibrations? Would that be a good mode for high rpms? When, i.e. in what rpm range, would one use full stepping, half stepping and high-torque stepping, respectively? Thanks! |
