| there are a good number of builds including mine that use v bearings , they work quite well and are fairly cheap in cost

| the problem is not the bearings . its finding a suitable track to run them on. it seems there is no cold rolled steel angle to match up, there is a metric cold rolled that would probably do it, but it is very pricey. to grind your own may not be a good option for many. the quality of the hot rolled can be all over the place. sincerely, rjs |

| Since they make matching tracks for vee bearings I would think if you can't find a suitable angle to match that would be sufficient. I have always wondered why so many people avoid using these rails when using vee bearings. Is there some kind of failing in these rails or do they just cost to much for the diy community? Judleroy |

| from what I've pushed it to do and what I've seen of it so far i have no worry's of wear , and if or when it does pose enough wear to be an issue then the 5 bucks it will cost to replace a section won't be a problem , and probably by then I'll be sick of looking at it it and be building a new one for fun

the excuse isn't as much of a problem as finding the space to add another one , I have more fun building and upgrading then actually cutting , I'll do a few days of cutting then tear into it to do mods and add-ons , I've got about 20 hrs left to complete the last of the upgrades then there will be no more tweaks until i brainstorm how I'm going to go about adding a fifth axis ![]() toys , gotta love em !
