Well, you said all advice, I'm pretty green, but I'd look here as a start. http://www.cncrouterparts.com/index.php?cPath=21 You can also search for threads that involve these parts R&P and Ahren who is this user http://www.cnczone.com/forums/members/ahren.html And the owner ?! of cncrouterparts, Ahren sorry if I'm misrepresenting you. There is an extremely detailed build log that gets converted to R&P using these parts. Here CarveOne's Work Table CNC Router Build no where near the length of what you want to build but might be a good place to research. Good Luck. Pete

Wow.....6.5M x travel. You will have to go R&P. As mentioned already Ahren has excellent quality items for use with 8020 aluminum extrusions. I would say this would be your best bet. The Y and Z can easily be done with basic lead screws and nuts. Take a look around the zone to get the juices flowing. You are going to want a gantry type machine since you probably don't want to make 6 meters of room on either side of the machine to move the material/table back and forth.

If the holes are in a row and not all over the place it may be easier to use a drill press with a fixture with stops that flip up in position to bank the part for each hole. I'm not saying not to make such a big CNC machine but something like this would be a lot simpler and cheaper. You sure need a lot of room to run a machine like this. Bret
