i am working on a small home made cnc router.my design work is done mostly by looking at other peoples designs.i have the x and y axis working fine.have not got motors on yet.but they turn freely.no added friction so i think they should funtion good.i have a problem with the z axis it is made with a 1/2 inch lead screw that rotates alright, but i am only getting about 2.5 " travel before it binds up the z-axis assembly is about 5" height.what can i do to gain more travel? |
