Just finished building mine, works a treat from mdf although 2,400 holes took a while to drill, I used the newfangled prog in Mach 3. What is it you need help with?

No need to drill holes. Mount one sheet to the bed of the machine, skim it flat and follow that with deep cuts from a V-groove cutter in rows and columns creating a series of pyramids basically. Create boundries if you want more than one vacuum zone. Position your vacuum connection in an appropriate location (or several locations if you want to have more than one vacuum zone) and then cover this disribution base with a solid sheet of MDF - 3/8-3/4" thick, depending on the power of your pump. If you are using a vacuum cleaner, you might want to stick with a thinner sheet for a waste board. You can screw the top sheet down, glue it or just tape it down - just keep in mind that it will likely be replaced every once in a while. Once in place, skim the top sheet and you are good to go. This will create a table that is profficient at holding sheet materials.

I am not sure if this is helpful info to you, but it is a very effective way to build a vacuum table.

I just asked a similiar question. I have a 28 foot long table. 9 feet wide with a failed centre divider(will remove top on adjust). I am running 81, 1/2" round vacumn holes routed into my mdf top with a 8" x 20" spider, the outside is a foam doar tape which takes the warp out of the matieral with 2 20 hp busch regerative fans. I am not having much luck laying my 2x10 spruce matieral on this platform. I get not bad vacumn but it is not holding down the matieral as I had planned.
