A while back I acquired 3 Vexta PK245 steppers. These motors have 61 oz-in holding torque. Will they be enough to drive a 4" machinist vise for use with PCBoard milling? Will I have to connect them to the leadscrew via gears? Any help is appreciated. |

| Probably will be enough. Maybe some gears (timing pulleys more likely) to increase resolution, its up to you. What resolution are you aiming at? Full/half/micro step drive? Are the motors Bipolar/Unipolar, 2 phase or 5 phases? Konstantin. |
