These ones should fit in the BK12
7001B Bearing 12x28x8 Angular Contact Ball Bearings
I am a real beginner and did something stupid.. On my Y Axis Assembly I put my BK/BF bearing blocks on the Ball Screw before I mounted my BallNut Mounting Bracket. Ugh!! Now I can not get the bearings off...I'm going to keep trying but in the event that I ruin the two Angular contact bearings I need to know if there is a source for just the bearings.
Thanks in Advance for any help,
Thanks...Do you know of a bearing puller for small bearings like this?
I was screwing around with my new ballscrew/BK12 assembly. I detached rotating flange attachment from the ballscrew [16mm diameter I believe, from linearmotion on ebay like everyone else] and of course I didn't realize it it would happen, but all of the ball bearings flew out everywhere.
I'm now having trouble reassembling everything. My question: How do you put the bearings back in the thing? I've tried screwing the flange a few twists till it's steated on the shaft, then feeding in ball bearings but it always seems to bind up. I'm sure it's something obvious that i'm missing but haven't figured it out. Hopefully you can do it without specific machinery or tools.
I did the same thing Fuper.
Repacking the bearing housing was extremely stressful and tiring for me, but it can be done.
This video is what helped me:

You may want to clean the bearings and the nut with degreaser or something of the sort. The reason being is that in the process of dropping them you might've picked up grit and dirt that deposited it into the nut after trying to reassemble.
A magnetic tool for depositing the balls into the nut may help too. I used a Jeweller's screwdriver that I magnetised.
