    Smile it's alive!

    Finally after months of work my router is up and running. I figured I would post a few pics. I will list the specs below. So far it works great almost no backlash. Seems very rigid. Best of all I did all of the machining here at the house with my manual mill and lathe.

    Frame solid 3/4" thick 6061 aluminum bar stock.
    3/4" MDF bed supported in the center by frame.
    15MM linear guides on X and Z
    20MM linear guides on Y
    16MM ball screws on all axis bearings on both ends.
    Helical couplers
    Gecko 540 stepper driver
    48V power supply
    380oz steppers
    Mach 3 control
    Travels 26" x 46" x 6"

    I had an indicator in the spindle doing some backlash checks.
