I am looking at building my first CNC Router, mainly cutting poly resins, thin stock maple and .25 inch 6061 aluminum sheet. I will be using a computer that does not have a parallel port so I understand that I will need to use a Smooth Stepper or a Planet-cnc.com motion controller. As this is my first machine I have been looking at all sorts of kits and found this one: Cnc Router WATER-COOLE MOTOR SPINDLE 1.5KW - Taig Ballscrew BF20 Mill milling routing machine machines My question is, is this a good kit and price to start off with? I am not really looking at piece parting everything and doing a complete from the ground up build on my first machine. Any suggestions would be great.
