    Need help wiring VFD

I need help determining what input power wires go to on my VFD. The unit I have is a TB Woods SW1. On the top of the unit there are three connection terminals, L1/L, L2/N, L3. So, going to the unit is the 220v which has a red (110v) a black (110v) a white (Neutral) and a green (ground). What terminals do the two 110v’s go to and what terminal does the neutral wire go to, if any?

Unfortunately, the manual is lacking in clarity regarding the input power source and just shows three unlabeled lines going to L1/L, L2/N,L3.

I understand the connections to the motor just need a little help with the power inputs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

What is the rated input voltage of the unit you have? This manufacturer seems to offer 115V and 240V models.

Post a photo of the terminals,is there a PDF on the web we can look at as well
The input terminals on some of these drives are easy to get messed up

Inputting a N.A. neutral into a 3 phase bridge will not do anything, if using 2x 240v conductors.
There will be no conduction on the neutral at all, I believe the reason they show L2/N is when used in countries that use one leg of the 240 as neutral, as in UK etc. or for a 115v version.
    I would think that the 240v go into L1 L2 .
Do you have a link to the manual?

Here is the link, the wiring diagram is on page 23 of the PDF

    http://www.vacon.com/File.aspx?id=47...&name=DPD00286

On the top of the unit the inputs are labled as L1/L - L2/N - L3 but is not listed that way in the PDF, just L1- L2 - L3

My input power will be single pase 220-240v, black (110-120v), Red (110-120v), White (neutral), Green (Ground).

As to the specs of the VFD:

    Input: 220-240v +/- 10%, 50-60hz, 1 or 3 phase
    Output: 10.5A, 3.0HP, (2.2kw) 3 phase

    Model number is SW1C20030H02

    Thanks for the help

As I mentioned, there is no point inputting a 240v with C.T. neutral if the input is to a 3 phase bridge, most VFD's I have stripped for power supply parts are wired this way, in any case if you just input 240 1 phase to L1 L2 you should not do any harm as it would simulate 2 of 3 phases with the L3 phase missing.
If the unit does accepts 1 phase then from the manual I would hook up the 240v to L1 L2.
    Neutral is not connected.

Do it the way Al has said, if you are still not sure give them a call the number is on the PDF file, Do not put the Neutral wire on to your VFD for 220v single phase, (US single phase), or you will have a problem, Cut that wire off before you start

According to the label with a 1 phase 2 wire input that has a neutral L1/L is hot and L2/N is neutral.
