High Speed Servo Based CNC controller board

    Hi,

I am new to cnczone . I am doing research to build a precise CNC miller with high speed servos . I am living in Hong Kong, so I have good access to lots of resources in China .

I recently sourced some cheap high speed 200W-400W servos with drivers . These drivers interface using traditional stepper motor signals inputs with encoder as close loop control with 1000/rev (good enough for many cases). With an operational speed of 3000rpm . The driver accepts a signal pulse frequency of 40KHz for optimum operation.

I searched a couple of days from the net, I cannot find any suitable controller board to match such speed. pluto-p and many hoppiest board are all PC parallel port based. If I am going to build a 4-axis or 5-axis (even 3 axis) machine . The speed of the parallel port is not good enough .

Does anyone know any usable PCI or PCI-express based boards that support 5 channel of stepper motor with additional generic I/O pins available?

I target to run the system using Linux .

Please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

    David
