    I have been browsing this thread and have some questions. First let me state my intention/desire. I have a small mill, right now it has a 1 hp spindle, but I am planning to add a treadmill motor for use as my spindle motor. I don't have the motor purchased yet, but the specs are 1.5 Hp continuous (1120 watts) @ 100 VDC. I would like to add an encoder to this motor to enable rigid tapping on my machine. Since this will be my spindle motor, I also want to have about 3000 motor rpm for use in machining operations. Since I would be adding the encoder, I could use any ppr count needed to achieve my goals.

    Is the UHU design servo controller capable of running that large a motor? In scanning through the thread it appears that the original design was flexible enough to handle it, but the new design appears to be limited to 50V. Is this correct?

    Hello Emil;

    Long time, isn't it? I hope everybody is well and making chips. I would like to know how the HPUHU drives are doing, if still working.
    Also to know about those participants in this thread that are still around in the cnczone.
    Best regards.
