How do I activate the 3d design in XR3 Mill Pro? I can’t figure out how to do a simple extrude function.

Should be under model on the toolbar or in the menu bar along the top.

Yea, I got that far.

Click on Model
Click on Extrude
Click on Extrude Surface
Set height
Left click on surface

Nothing happens..

Not sure what's going on without seeing your model. To extrude, the surface or curve must be planar although tilted etc is OK. If you try something simple like make a circular surface on the default plane centered at 0,0,0 and try to extrude that does it work ?

No, that didn't work either. I don't really have a "model" I'm just messing around trying to figure out some of the functions.

I did their first exercise, but it didn't pertain to solids which is how I will be doing my designs.

XR3 Mill Pro does have 3d drawing capabilities, correct?

Yes. You won't see menus for anything you don't have. Pro has all the modeling tools that expert does. Expert does hae some modeling and CAM strategies used mainly for mold making.
