    Project a chain

Trust a newb to try to do things bass ackwards, the stuff that programmers never count on anybody trying to do it that way!

I was struggling with trying to make a a surround for a raw customer model. Extracting curves from the edges of his model produced all sorts of curves lying in any plane. I wanted to create a flat surface between these curves and a simple rectangle drawn outside the part.

So I was scratching my head wondering why the function "project onto a surface" didn't work for me. This would be the ideal way to create a border for this project.

So, to make a long story short, the surface you want to project the chain onto has to be under the chosen chain, not above, and not on the same level as some of the entities.

It works beautifully, once you know the trick!
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

    HU,
Great to learn new tricks. I've never used that funtion, but now I know how to. Thanks.
It should save some time from having to create end points and drawing line between them.
All kinds of fun stuff in Onecnc to try out.
