| Guys, Just to let you know: Date 5/16/03 I'm told the manual is done and is at the printer. Should start to ship about mid next week. If printer gets up to speed. It has the tutorials in it and added stuff. Don't know all the details. Major update is due real soon. (I'm told 10-14 days) But don't hold anybody to that, as they might want to tweak somethings. I don't know of any real glitchs that are causing any heartburn, just a couple of small items, so the update is to make things even better and some new features. Hope this helps.

| Very cool, I'd be nice if Onecnc could update all of us here too. They must be real busy.

| I did have a chance to talk with Onecnc a bit today. They are still working hard on the new patch, he didn't elaborate in detail. It sounds like more exciting advancements. I did manage to get an enthusiastic reponse from Mike to an idea I had today, while I was machining some stringy plastics: Why not incorporate an option for "peck-plunging" to assist in chip break? There are many times when I would have to predrill a starter hole to get chip control with a G83 cycle. However, going deep in such a starter hole leads to problems of its own with getting the chips out. But, if we can get a peck plunging option for use in any type of roughing operation, well, wouldn't that be near heavenly? The peck chips would always throw well from a shallow plunge.I think when Mike gets enthused about something, things happen!
