    Too many dialog boxes...

Being new to OneCNC, and comparing CAM
    packages, I noticed that, just
to create a simple toolpath, it seems that
there are way to many dialog boxes you have to
answer to, before you complete a simple toolpath.

Is there a way around sooooo many dialogs.
Other packages seem to pretty much have
you fill in all the info you need on one or
maybe two panels at the most.

Am I way off base here or can they be customized
somehow to decrease the amount of clicking you
    have to do.

Any suggestions would help - Thanks....

This is done to limit the amount of data fields on each page. Notice for ech window, ther are NO tabs that you have to click through to fill out more info.

Using these windows, is to walk you through the process, so you don't miss anything.

    big_mak,

I agree with what your saying, it just seems to
be a little time consuming, especially when you
pretty much do the same operation (tool paths),
over and over again with different parts. Maybe the package is too
basic for me since I have a manufacturing
background. I love the idea of making sure you
don't miss anything in the process, but it would
be nice to condense it down a bit. I also come
from a programming background, so it would
be cool if you could customize the dialog boxes.

    Thanks for replying.....

I hear what you are saying. I come from a background of mastercam, gibbs, catia, and unigraphics. Once you have programmed a pocket, and want to use the same parameters on another pocket, all the variables are saved until they are changed again, so in a sense you can just click next right past to where you need to input different values.

I've been using OneCNC for a month now, and a lot of stuff becomes second nature in a hurry.

For it's price point, it can't be beat.
