OneCNC at IMTS in September

Can anyone tell me if OneCNC will be represented at IMTS in Chicago this year? It would be an excellent opportunity to see it in action alongside the competition.

Thanks,

Dan

I dont think onecnc is going to be there, but you might see OneCNC’s HaasCAM system in some of the Haas vmcs.

Wow I find it hard to believe that they would nto be there. Do they know what IMTS is? I maybe wrong but they dropped the ball on this. Now is the time to put up or shut up. The Cam wars are really heating up and to miss this chance to show how much you have improved is a HUGE MISTAKE. Please someone talk some sence in to these guys, come on!

That's because ONECNC are leaders not followers.

thats just crazy talk. You have the largest customer base at one show. I already have Mastercam X MR2, but one of my freinds has OneCNC Pro. and it is a very nice product. It does do things that most any shop could use, so why notshow them the advantages of owning their software. I have heard all the good thatthis software does and I was the one how told my freind about it. He asked how much my seat of Mastercam was and almost passed out, so I told him to check out Onecnc. I was thinking of Onecnc when I bought mine, but I have worked with Mastercam starting with V7 so I knew the software. I didnt have time to learn a new cam system so I went with what I knew, and I am very happy with what I bought. If I only had time to learn Onecnc I would have purchased it instead. I just wish that Onecnc would get seriuos about their marketing. Because when the other Cad/Cam companies start to feel the heat from other companies I think we all would win with better products and cost savings.

IMTS is a very expensive show for vendors. Most small companies like OneCNC, Mecsoft or McNeel and Associates, cannot afford to have displays on their own. So it is very likely that they will try to get a bit of exposure thru a company like Haas. If you've ever been to IMTS you know that Haas spends the big bucks on their display. The cost for the floor space they rent is more than most small companies make in a year.

Point taken, but if the sell 2-3 seats of mill Exp. that would cover the cost, but using a company like Haas would be a good deal. Someone asks what program they used to program that part running on the Haas and they say Onecnc that is good advertisment. My HFO pushes Surfcam, they start telling my about it and I just look at them funny.

I doubt that it would. I remember reading somewhere that the smallest available space starts at $40,000 for the show. Displays like Haas has are in the neighbourhood of $2 million. I can't say with complete certainty that those numbers are accurate, and I can't recall where I read that, hence no link.

I don't know. They were there in 2004 too. Maybe they are willing to take the gamble. Who knows, maybe it does pay off, even for the little guys.

I imagine that OneCNC has to bear in mind the safety of the general public, the ensuing stampede of inquisitive onlookers to one cramped little booth space, as well as how general dispair and dismay may affect the show spirit when many have discovered they paid too much for equally capable software.
