    new guy question

hi Im new here so not even sure if i am in the right forum but i have a question about programming so here it goes. according to my cnc manual i can insert comments but they can only be 30 characters in lenght and have to have parenthesis on each end. is there anyway to put say a paragraph of info before the cnc program without all the parenthesis and 30 character per line rule. in other words i want to cut and paste pertinent info such as tools, sheet dimesions, clamps etc into the cnc program, before the code starts without having to edit. is this possible? thanks for any help you can give.

Most likely not..as most controls see anything that is not in some form of "man words" (IE: parentheses or brackets or *) and try and act on it..so if you put all this info in without them (man words) then your control will try and read those as code and because it will not understand what it is reading it will most likely alarm...as your manual states.

There are ways around this..like breaking the information up and placing it in man words..30 characters at a time.

Is this a OneCNC software question or just a general programing question??
